Below you can watch the recording of the webinar, TALKING REIKI: What to Say?
Click here for a handout that lists a few things we can safely say about Reiki. All of these statements qualify as facts because they have either historical or scientific documentation.
The Q&A section starts in the 58th minute. Three questions were not audible in the recording, so I edited out the dead time for your convenience. Here are those questions:
Q: “How do I address the person who says, If I have the ability to heal myself, why do I need you?”
The response starts with “We all need help. We all have the ability to heal ourselves and sometimes we need help connecting with that ability…”
Q: “Words like pure mind and consciousness get into the religious area. Bells ringing here.”
The responses starts with “I don’t find those words to be religious. Those are words that you find generally in spiritual practice, but the important part is to find words that are comfortable for you…”
Q: “I’m a bit uneasy about the statement that Reiki is an intervention. Isn’t that getting into medical stuff rather than balancing/support stuff?”
The response starts with: “I don’t particularly use that language. I was just sharing a term that I hear…”
