Flower buds hold such promise,
And need our protection.
A frost,
Strong wind,
Heavy rain,
Cause irreparable damage.
The buds of practice are fragile,
Vulnerable to
Chilly reception from a friend,
A surge of emotion,
Over thinking.
Protect your practice now;
Soon it will protect you.

This poem is one of those that gives us something to think and ponder. Thank you for sharing this Pamela.
What a lovely and empowering poem…thank you Pamela. Just what I needed today. Like Carl Sandburg’s “Windflower Leaf,” this is a poem that covers me with hope – but yours Pamela, reminds me how I can hold on to hope when it gets windy. Thank you!
Our practice is also what allows us to flower fully into our true nature.
Thank you for the lovely metaphor!
Pamela, as a certified flower essence practitioner, I love this metaphor…especially the last line.
